Astro Fighters is one of the excercises developed by students of 3D Art and Programming in 2015.
The demo was aimed at teaching students of Programming the following issues: development of a basic artificial intelligence for enemies, implementation of arcade game controllers and implementation of some basic elements of gameplay such as level of difficulty and score. 3D Art students used it as an exercise to study how to approach low poly modelling and texturing.
The main characteristics are the rapidity of the gameplay, the variability of game difficulty, the increasing waves of enemies (both in number and force) for an endless shooter thought for a mobile platform like smartphone and tablet..
