WORKSHOP

TEACHERS

During the workshop, Danko and Korax will guide participants in all the steps of digital sculpting, using a workflow that considers all the critical aspects and potential limits of a production pipeline, until the file is ready for 3D printing.

After a first step of concept analysis, participants will work to realize a bust using the latest ZBrush features. During the practical part, the concept will be finalized and optimized in a file ready to print.

program

STEP 1: CONCEPT ANALYSIS

  • Concept analysis
  • Analysis of the potential problems linked to the kind of design, to the 3D printing size and to its purposes
  • Preparation of the sculpting job based on limits and the next technical steps required
  • Organization of a neat workflow that limits loss of time and production problems

STEP 2: SESSION OF GUIDED SCULPTING

  • Second step is all about the practical part of the production model, that must always respect production needs and requirements for 3d print: details of a size compatible to print size, fulfillment of surfaces ready to be cut, etc. etc..
  • Overview of digital sculpting techniques
  • New features of the latest versions of ZBrush, used to realize different kinds of shapes and details
  • Blockout in dynamesh
